- Use windows as much as possible.
- You should be running Android Marshmallow.
- You should unlock your bootloader.
- Battery life should be at least 80% or best, at 100%.
- Make sure to back up your files. This process will wipe your device.
Download andinstall Google USB driversto be able to connect to PC without problems.
Plug in to PC.
Download SuperSU v2,66 Beta and paste it in your device’s storage. You will need this later on. Do not extract, keep it zipped.
Get the latest Minimal ADB and Fastboot and install it. This tool will be used for installing the custom recovery.
Go to its installation directory in ‘My Computer/This PC> Program Files/Program Files (x86) and locate Minimal ADB and Fastboot folder.
Download and move TWRP for Huawei Nexus 6P in the folder in Step 6.
Rename the .img file into TWRP.img.
Enter Fastboot mode by following this. Wait for it to boot up into fastboot mode.
Now, inside the same folder in Step 6, open a command window there by holding Shift key and right clicking on a space at the same time. An extra option to open a command window will appear.
Inside that command, input
fastboot flash recovery TWRP.img
fastboot reboot recovery
Wait still and you should now boot up into TWRP interface.
Now, for you to flash the SuperSU that you copied a while ago in Step 4, tap ‘Install’ and locate SuperSU zip file in your internal storage.
You will be asked to swipe the slide to confirm the flashing, so do it.
Select the system reboot option and wait for it to reboot.
